It started in a small kitchen with a second-hand roaster and a shared stubbornness: coffee should taste honest. Two friends, one Nordic winter, and hundreds of cupping notes later, Kaffi was born.
We named it simply — kaffi means coffee — because the drink itself was always the point. No noise. No rush. Just a better daily cup.
Great coffee is calm craft. We roast in small batches, brew with intention, and design spaces where people can slow down without needing a reason.
Our house blend still carries the same balance we chased on day one: chocolate depth, clean finish, and enough brightness to wake the room gently.
Kaffi remains a demo of what a neighbourhood café can feel like when design, process, and hospitality move together. Come for the espresso. Stay for the quiet.

John built Kaffi the way he pulls a shot — patiently, with attention to the quiet details. Mornings still start at the machine: dialling in, tasting, and making sure every cup feels like a small pause in a loud day. When he is not roasting, you will find him behind the bar teaching the team that great coffee is hospitality first, technique second.
